Ryanair schließt zum 24. Oktober ihre Basis mit sieben Flugzeugen und dazugehörigen Crews am Berliner Flughafen BER. Der Airport wird zwar weiterhin von Ryanair angeflogen, verliert aber den Angaben zufolge rund die Hälfte des bisherigen Angebots.
Die Luftverkehrsbranche kritisiert seit Langem vergleichsweise hohe Steuern und Gebühren in Deutschland. Diese gelten ihr als Hauptgrund dafür, dass sich der Luftverkehr hierzulande seit der Corona-Delle signifikant schwächer entwickelt habe als im übrigen Europa.
