Pocock addresses political violence following attack on Helen Haines | ABC NEWS
ACT senator David Pocock has spoken to the National Press Club, addressing the recent attack on his close friend and colleague, independent MP Helen Haines.
"We must meet this attack on you by doubling down on the values you represent: democracy, transparency, accountability, care, and kindness. Now is the time to think about what brings us together, to defend our shared values, our democracy, and our freedom to live as Australians."
Pocock said threats towards parliamentarians had reached an all-time high and needed be addressed.
